Circulation and Lending Section

The circulation section of the central library uses Azarsa library software to make available any type of resources that exist in the collection. Also, the mentioned software provides easy and comfortable search environment to users. Users can search in the library and document center collection through subject, title, author, and other bibliographic specifications of information objects. The method of shelfing books is based on Dewey Decimal Classification. The client servicing method of the central library is based on open access system. Users can physically touch bookshelves and resources and browse them to find their needed information, and all books are lendable, except for reference books, because of their price, rareness, and frequency of usage.
The most important duties of the circulation section:

  •  Lending and receiving books;
  •  Searching information objects through the system for clients and filing and checking the returned books;
  •  Shelf reading and fixing bugs about books and other information objects, and specifying the location of missing books;
  •  Doing Checkout process about students that want to graduate;
  •  Providing book renewal services
  •  Holding a celebration tour for new students at the beginning of each semester.
Those who refer to the library should return the borrowed resources to the library based on deadline (two weeks to one month based on degree). Otherwise, they will be subject to delayed fines. If for any reason the book or any library material were lost or deformed (happenings such as rupture, cutting images, scratching, water drops, etc.), the recipient is obliged to provide a new one to the central or other faculty libraries.
The working hours of the circulation and lending department are Saturday to Wednesday, from 8 AM to 17 PM.
