A scholarly meeting titled "The Role of Turkey’s Archives and Libraries in Iranistics Studies" was convened in the conference hall of the Central Library and Documentation Center of Shahid Beheshti University, featuring Dr. Murad Alanoglu, a faculty member at Alparslan University in Turkey.

Turkey and Iran, as neighboring nations, share a profound historical relationship spanning several millennia. Evidently, the political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries have left significant traces in historical records. The Republic of Turkey, as the successor to the Seljuk and Ottoman empires, maintains this historical legacy through extensive archival documentation and collections of manuscripts preserved in its libraries. These repositories contain a wealth of historical and cultural materials pertaining to Iran, including thousands of documents housed in the Ottoman archives, as well as Persian and Turkish manuscripts held in various libraries.

During the meeting, the key archives and libraries essential for researchers engaged in the study of Iranian history and culture were introduced. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, during which attendees engaged with the speaker for further insights.
