Coordination Council for Academic Units

The Coordination Council for faculty and research libraries of SBU convenes a meeting each month according to the approved calendar with the presence of faculty and research librarians and sometimes related faculty members or institutional authorities.
The council's objectives are:
  • •To be aware of the current activities of the faculty and research libraries through visiting at the end of each session;
  • •To strengthen the relationship between central library and peripheral libraries;
  • •Strengthening the relationship between the faculty and research libraries to reach suitable coordination and unity of practice;
  • •To Dialogue about issues and problems of faculty and research libraries from the perspective of librarians and users of Shahid Beheshti University;
  • •To optimize the process of providing services to library users (faculty members, students, employees, free membership);
  • •To Plan for scientific and cultural activities in the library space of libraries;
  • •To reconsider different regulations and guidelines of libraries.

Coordination Council for Central Library

The Coordination Council of the Central Library convenes in the conference hall of the Central Library on the first Monday of each month. Its aim is to discuss forthcoming programs and services of the central library.  Other objectives are:
  • •Presentation of report by experts of the various departments of the central library;
  • •Coordination between different parts of the central library;
  • •Discussing barriers and potential optimum solutions;
  • •Reconsidering some practices or services of the central library;
  • •Discussing new programs, meetings, and services in the library space;
  • •Discussing new ways for building strong cooperative relationships with other libraries.
